In this presentation, we’ll explore the art of forging deep connections between your readers and your characters. We’ll learn how to craft real, relatable, and emotionally compelling characters. We will delve into strategies for revealing authentic motivations, vulnerabilities, and growth with a focus on empathy, internal monologue, and subtle relationship-building techniques. T.O. Paine is an award-winning author of fast-paced thriller suspense novels. He is a member of International Thriller Writers and holds a master’s degree in computer information systems. His high-emotion novels focus on the consequences of his character’s choices, resulting in spine-tingling, suspenseful twist endings. He has written and indie-published over five novels in the past nine years, obtaining a wealth of intense craft and book marketing experience. General Critique Group
First Monday evenings at 4:30, bring 1500 words of your work in progress and we’ll sort through it, with helpful, constructive feedback. Relaxed and supportive group for all levels. Also serves as an Accountability meeting if you’ve got goals you’re working on.
Book Study
Currently we’re reading Maria Dahvana Headley’s interpretation of the classic story. Our book studies will be throughout the year, once a week meetings, with good discussion and a relaxed atmosphere.
Marketing Group
Join us on Thursday for a discussion of current issues, trends, helpful advice, and guest speakers. All of it geared to help you feel good about marketing and selling your book.
Poetry Critique Group
Join us the 3rd Monday of the month at 4:30pm MST for reading, feedback, and discussion on the craft and art of poetry. Also serves as an Accountability meeting if you’ve got goals you’re working on.
